Job description
We are seeking an energetic, driven individual with long-term vision and an entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who will help in establishing culture, best practices (guidelines & ethics), sales protocols, and standard operating procedures. In this role, the right employee will be instrumental in creating the Carrier Sales Department organically from the ground floor up.

We are looking for this person to have an established book of carrier relationships. We are looking for a person to make an immediate impact. Equally, someone who knows how to build a portfolio of carriers, can teach others, and can work easily with others – a true team player. This candidate should be self-driven, team-oriented, quick-thinking, and professional. As we grow, there will be the option to either continue to build a book of business around a strong commission-based comp plan or management, or an executive leadership path.

As a Carrier Sales Rep, you will be responsible for lead generation, prospecting, onboarding, and developing new carrier relationships. The focus of the position will be to assess daily freight conditions, pricing, cover freight, and create long-term relationships with our carrier partners.

Equally, US Expediters present a unique opportunity for our carrier reps. Our Carrier Department will have a unique opportunity to assess market trends to then determine whether to tender sales to our assets, broker our equipment or to tender loads to one of our valued, carrier partners.

What we are looking for:
  • 2 years + transportation/logistics experience preferred. Ale to make an immediate impact on carrier relationships and sales.
  • Proven track record of prospecting and building accounts and client relationships
  • Knowledgeable in automotive, medical, electronics and pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Any experience managing a team of 3 or more salespersons is a plus!
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress in a composed manner
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong ethical and moral codes
